Buying New Vinyl Windows

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I had been begging my husband to buy new vinyl windows for our old house for years. He always said that we did not have the money, but every winter we would cover the old windows and crank up the heat. Our heating bills are always over three hundred dollars and I even remember one time them being over four hundred dollars for three months straight.

Then about two months ago, I came into some money from a relative who had passed away and left it to me. I paid off some credit card debt and then decided that I would go ahead and interview vinyl replacement windows companies and see if I could afford to put in the vinyl windows with the money that I had left.

I got four estimates for vinyl replacement windows and found that I had more than enough money to pay for them. I called my husband at work to let him know that I had just signed the contract to have someone put in new vinyl windows and he was happy. I just kept thinking that it was going to save us lots of money in the long run. No more four hundred dollar heating bills in the winter time and we would be much warmer in our house too.

Difficult To Write About Jack Van Impe

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

I was doing a report on an influential person and I had chosen to write about Jack Van Impe. I was having some issues with finding any information about him in print. I had found tons of stuff on the web, but we are supposed to have at least three different sources and that was proving to be very difficult. If I have to, I am going to have to ask for extra time or for some kind of waiver on the way we are supposed to do this paper.

I have run across two other people that are having the same issues as me and we are all looking into how we will overcome it. I have the names of their people and they have mine, just in case one of us gets lucky and finds some other sources of information that we can use that does not involve the internet.

If I had known that writing about Jack Van Impe would cause me all this trouble, I would not have picked him. In fact, I am thinking that if I do not find anything else, that there should be some sort of list of people that are hard to research, in the class for the people who have to take it next semester and that way no one else has to go through what I am going through.

Looking To Sell Gold Jewelry To Buyers

Monday, April 5th, 2010

The gold buyers that were at the mall were offering people some really great money to sell gold jewelry to them. I had thought about going home and searching through my drawers to see if there was enough old stuff to try and sell. I know that there are a few pieces that used to be my grandmothers that I will never wear but the thought of selling off those things, just does not sound right.

I called my mother and told her about the gold buyers and how I was thinking that maybe I could sell gold jewelry that I had and she agreed that if I was not wearing it, then I should see what they would give me. I brought up the pieces that my grandmother had given me and she said that my grandmother would not be offended if I sold those pieces. In fact, she would think it was silly to just let it sit in a drawer and not be used or sold, if that was what I wanted to do.

I checked on the mall website to see how long the gold buyers were going to be there and it looked like they were actually coming back the next day. I decided to dig out what I had and just see what they would offer me.
