Difficult To Write About Jack Van Impe

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

I was doing a report on an influential person and I had chosen to write about Jack Van Impe. I was having some issues with finding any information about him in print. I had found tons of stuff on the web, but we are supposed to have at least three different sources and that was proving to be very difficult. If I have to, I am going to have to ask for extra time or for some kind of waiver on the way we are supposed to do this paper.

I have run across two other people that are having the same issues as me and we are all looking into how we will overcome it. I have the names of their people and they have mine, just in case one of us gets lucky and finds some other sources of information that we can use that does not involve the internet.

If I had known that writing about Jack Van Impe would cause me all this trouble, I would not have picked him. In fact, I am thinking that if I do not find anything else, that there should be some sort of list of people that are hard to research, in the class for the people who have to take it next semester and that way no one else has to go through what I am going through.

Difference Between Motivation And Pressure

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Children try to do their best in coping up with the expectations of their parents but parents but pushing the children too much is how far better? Pushing children too much means breaking their spirit to work and they soon will get disappointed. Parents should understand the meaning and the difference between motivation and pressure. Parents often expect a lot from their children because they think that it is the competitive world and their child should be on the top in the race of competition always.

Parents should realize the drawbacks of pressurizing their children. Excess of too much is very bad so is in the case of pressurizing children to achieve their goals or dreams. They should motivate their children to get what they want but pressurizing them is not the solution. Parents need to understand the difference between motivation and pressure.

Child safety is very important and for that parents need to be vigilant about their child’s activities. If their child gets into some bad habits like drugs and smoking due to over pressure from their parents regarding career then parents should not take it lightly. They should take them to childrens hospital. There are many childrens hospital available, who treat children and make them come back to their normal life.

At Parenting informed you will get many childrens hospital names where you can get your child treated. You can also get books based on motivation of child and kids art.

Spices in Indian food

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Longstanding vegetarianism has been a singular influence in Indian Food customs, especially among the Jain and Buddhist communities. Effects of such custom are also omnipotent in most South Indian states. A recent survey has revealed that almost 31% of Indians are vegetarians.

Way back in 7000 BC, sesame, eggplant, humped cattle made their appearances in domestic vegetation system in India. They were later followed by turmeric, cardamom, black pepper and mustard. Most of the Indian Recipes emerged during the Vedic period. Again a majority of these recipes made liberal use of spices to make them tasty and attractive.

The Vedic Indian Cuisine mainly consisted of fruits, vegetables, meat, grain, and dairy products and honey. However, as the time passed, a good number of people turned vegetarian. Thus they were in constant search of new types of vegetables and more recipes for vegetarians. Vedic culture also differentiated between the food habits of the people by categorizing them as Satwik, Rajasic and Tamasik basing on the combination of the food items.

Use of spices make the food tasty and gives it a luring odor. But at the same time there is also a negative side since liberal use of spices could lead to various ailments mostly of stomach. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why a good number of India Recipes have come up that does not make much use of the spices in their preparations.
